What happens to your data?

Your account information, browsing activity, queries, and interactions with Dia Assistant are processed to deliver the browser's features. Synced data is end-to-end encrypted on servers, and personal data is not sold or shared for advertising. Content data may be used to improve the service unless you opt out.

Does it train on your data?

The Browser Company may collect and use user Content (including visited pages, queries to Dia Assistant, and AI-generated responses) to improve Dia, unless the user opts out.

Can you opt out?

Yes, users can opt out of having their Content used to improve Dia, and can request account deletion or data subject rights through in-app settings or via email.

Data retention

Personal data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service, fulfill commercial purposes, or meet legal requirements. Account profile information is kept as long as the account remains active, IP/device data is kept as needed for system operation, and payment information is retained to process subscriptions.

Encryption & security

If the Sync feature is enabled, all User Content sent off-device is encrypted end-to-end and cannot be read or processed in readable format on servers. General physical, technical, organizational, and administrative security measures are also maintained across data handling.

Is it safe for work?

Dia includes organizational controls such as identity provider integration, administrator feature toggling, and end-to-end encryption for synced data, with Content Data hidden from organization admins. However, teams handling sensitive work should ensure they opt out of content collection for product improvement.
